Y’all,

In the South, porches are an essential part of a house. Though I was born above the Mason-Dixon line, I was raised in the land of sweet tea and how’s-yo-mama-and-dem, and as I’ve been looking at houses recently, I have noticed my Southern Belle tendencies coming out by way of an affinity for porches.

I pray that one day, I can have a house with a great porch that I can wave to departing visitors from and shout, “Y’all come back now, ya hear?”
